About me
Welcome to Biology! I'm Mr. Long, and this is the website for this class. Before we get into the school stuff, I'll tell you a little about myself. I graduated from Oak Grove in 2014, and I attended the University of Southern Mississippi where I graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Biological Sciences. I am currently finishing my Masters of Arts in Teaching through USM. My hobbies include spending time with my wife and daughter, playing drums for my church, reading the Bible, watching Netflix with my wife and daughter, playing sports, exploring outdoors, CrossFit, hunting, and fishing.
What to expect in my class
As a teacher, I expect my classes to become small communities to provide opportunities for students to work together, play together, and help one another. To be in my class, you must have a work ethic. If you do not, then we're going to find a way to motivate you, and we're going to use it. I will challenge you in my class (hey, it's science class), but I will do everything I can to help you learn.
If you'd like to reach me, you can call (601) 264-7232.
In my class, you can expect to be challenged, but we're going to have a lot of fun. In this class, we're going to learn:
